Preparation:

Preparing Japanese Ceremonial Matcha is a 3 step process:

Step 1: Add 1 or 1.5 gr to the bowl

Step 2: Add about 30 ml cold water & mix with whisk to activate Matcha

Step 3: Add water heated to 70 degrees C and mix with whisk

Water temperature plays a critical role in the preparation of Matcha tea. It is advisable to use water heated to a temperature between 70°C to 80°C (158°F to 176°F). Using water that is too hot can lead to a bitter taste so allowing the water to cool slightly after boiling is a practical approach to achieving the ideal temperature.

Matcha can also be added to smoothies or coffee.
